About Us

Stunning horseboxes, standard prices

Horses are fantastic! They are loving, funny and exhilarating to ride; over the last few years they have even become quite trendy. Leading clothing brands now offer hat silks, saddle pads, base layers and coats in ranges, where all items are the same colour; everything matches! Go to an event and not only does a rider match their horse, but in pairs events, everything is often matchey, matchey! Everything, that is, except the transport.

Horseboxes are expensive and most people do not have the ability to own their own. Go to an event and you see the same dull and boring hire horseboxes, time and again. If you’re going to the trouble of ensuring that both you and your horse look fantastic, why turn up in a bland and boring horsebox?

Ultimate Horseboxes try to be a bit different. Each of our horseboxes is painted in a different vibrant metallic colour and each has additional bling like alloy wheels. Why? Because its fun, looks matter and actually, it doesn’t cost you any more. Our vehicles are also safe and comfortable for you and your horse, with things like cab aircon for you, a camera so you can watch your horse while travelling and a temperature controlled fan to help stop your horse overheating. Our boxes even have external tack lockers which are typically only found on larger boxes, all to try and make your trip as easy as possible.

We know horses and we know hire. Our job is to let you focus on your horse, whatever the reason for hiring from us. Based at a riding school and livery yard, with an on-site equestrian shop, you can rest assured that we have the best interests of you and your horse at heart!

Rusella Rose Equestrian

Russella-Rose Equestrian is founded in family tradition🤍 As a family-run business, it carries the legacy of Russell Emerson. When the youngest of the Bartlett girls, Mia, was born, her middle name was in memory of Grandad Russ, creating Russella-Rose.

The team consists of ‘Mumma Jo’ who is the one keeping everything running smoothly on a day-to-day basis, Courtney, who’s love for riding started at just four years old, making her the first of the Bartlet sisters to catch the horse bug and Mia who has been riding since she was three, basically growing up in the saddle with every shape, size, and personality of horse you could imagine.

Ultimate Campers

Our daughter wanted to start competing at shows and events when she got her first horse and as a result, we started to look around for a horsebox. We found a bewildering number of manufactures and prices, some with questionable build quality and so we opted to obtain a base van and have our own quality box built. We had already been hiring out camper vans and motorhomes for several years, with a number of customers using them for overnight accommodation at places like Hickstead. The continued trend is for festival goers and people attending motor racing events to ditch tents and instead make use of motorhomes; this is something that seems to be more and more common for the equestrian community too.

With all that in mind, combining horses and camper van hire seemed like the next logical step for Ultimate Campers. We therefore had a number of additional quality horseboxes built, some with accommodation, in order to hire them out.
